Founded in 1913, City of Hope has grown into one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the U.S., and one of the leading research centers for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. Each year at our annual Triple S Clean Team Exhibit and Conference, Triple S hosts a charitable golf event dedicated to raising funds for City of Hope. City of Hope is best known for its groundbreaking work in cancer research and treatment, but its expertise goes far beyond oncology. As one of the nation’s leading centers for diabetes care, City of Hope has played a pivotal role in advancing treatment—including the development of synthetic human insulin, which transformed diabetes management worldwide.

City of Hope has also performed more than 20,000 stem cell and bone marrow transplant procedures through its cancer centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Duarte and Phoenix. These potentially lifesaving cancer treatments replace bone marrow with healthy cells from a patient’s own body autologous transplant or from a donor allogeneic transplant. According to statistics from the NMDP, City of Hope performs more allogeneic transplants per year than any other U.S. transplant center.
