The following mats meet the criteria for the US Green Building Council LEED-EB Entryway Systems:

Mat Recommendations

80% of the dirt in a building comes from the outside. Carpet length should be a minimum of 10 feet. A longer mat is better.

It is important to guide traffic so that entrants walk the entire length of the mat.

The backing material is not specified by LEED-EB. Triple S recommends rubber backed mats. The use of vinyl is highly controversial in the green community due to disposal issues.

SSS Tough Grip Entrance Mat

Constructed with high quality continuous nylon yarn.

Nylon yarn is tightly twisted and heat set for exceptional durability. Resists staining and fading from the sun.

Sold nitrile rubber backing captures the dirt and moisture in the mat; prevents soiling under the mat.

10 feet length is the standard length to comply with LEED.

Custom Sizes: 3' and 4' widths up to 24' in length, 6' width up to 20' in length.

Standard Sizes: 2x3, 3x4, 3x5, 3x10, 4x6, 4x8
